Why use a control 101 control cabinet?
Well up until a few years ago anyone or any company working with automated gates has had to design and build their own control cabinets and with the aid of a few pictures you can see below, the results are not good, the photos represent what most but certainly not all control cabinets look like in the field today. Then along comes control 101 with the idea to improve the industry by introducing control panel wiring (cabinet building) to this industry, by adding some of the principle of panel wiring we have be able to come up with a design that is superior to what is currently in operation.

Lets have a look from the owners or managers prospective
Your paying to have an automated gate installed and one of the most important parts of the machine is the control board and the control cabinet. By using a control 101 control cabinet you are save guarding the entire machine, getting the control cabinet correct from the beginning is vital to the smooth operation of the entire machine, common faults that occur due to substandard control cabinets no longer occur. This saves you money on costly repairs not to mention you gates will still be working.

Over the life span of the of your gate/s there are likely to be some changes to them, having a control cabinet that can adapt over time is a crucial factor for the future proofing of your installation.
For example, you have had your gates for a few years now and instead of using the phob to let other people out every time they leave you have decided to install a free to exit loop. This is a piece of cake with a control 101 control cabinet, so an engineer attends site and can now fit the equipment with ease and a much more simplified approach. The attending engineer can reconfigure the cabinet to accommodate the new equipment with out having to completely rewire the whole cabinet, giving you the functionality and adaptability your require.

What ever your circumstances, either new gates going in, repairing existing, or up grading existing its easy to obtain a control 101 control cabinet. Lets have a look from the installers prospective

Having a finished control cabinet that you spend less time ordering than you do making means you have more free time to run your business more affectively. Having a control cabinet that all your team can learn quickly can standardise and streamline your installations, your team don't have to think to much about the control cabinet, this frees them up to concentrate on the field wiring/installation. The process of order, receive, install, commission, will streamline you installations. The time spent ordering parts has gone, the time taken to make the cabinet has gone, all your team will be working from the same page, simply put easier with better results. Another benefit of these cabinets is adaptability, to explain this i shall paint a scenario. A set of swing gates you installed a few years ago are working fine but the owner wants a free to exit loop installed. Lets say they have a 600 series control cabinet, doesn't matter what manufacture. you can add a single channel loop detector straight to the din rail, take a feed from the fuse carriers and add a some din rail terminals to the input/output din rail, wire with links to the control board , terminate your loop and your up and running. We think that making the cabinet alterations should take less than half an hour, installing the loop will of course take longer. Quick and easy.

The 600 & 700 series have the ability to rewire/reconfigure the wiring without compromising the design of the control cabinet. An ability not seen in this industry before. Using din rail terminals gives one point to work from, by using wire links you can move around and check voltages etc, performing diagnosis test become a whole lot easier. The cabinets are designed to make the engineers life easier saving time and money.

Currently there are 3 different models available, the 400, 600, and the 700 series. For a better description on what each series offer please click the links on the top of each page. Thanks for looking.

Now that control 101 Ltd is established there is a brighter future in the world of gate automation. The current models available are just the start currently under development are the 500 series which is a slightly larger version of the 600 series and is being developed to have an off the shelf solution much like the 400 series.
Also we are looking into a cabinet for sliding gates, where one cabinet has two compartments one for the motor and another for the control system which will have an higher IP rating keeping out those pesky bugs and critters.

Another option we are working on is being able to have the enclosures painted to either blend in with the surroundings or to match the company's colours.
